USC Football: Trojans Face a Challenging Path in Upcoming Matches

The schedule only gets harder for the Trojans

Following your USC Trojans loss to Notre Dame on Saturday, USC has a tough road if it hopes to reach the college football playoff.

The USC Trojans were a preseason favorite to not only win the Pac-12 but to be a part of the 2023 College Football Playoff.

USC's last three games against Arizona State, Colorado, and Arizona brought a lot of questions about the Trojans team this season.

While they were heavy favorites in the last three weeks, USC did not play to its potential to blow out these Pac-12 teams.

Going into its matchup against Notre Dame, USC had to win the game to keep its playoff hopes alive.

Now that USC lost its game against Notre Dame, the schedule doesn't get easier for the Trojans.

Four out of the five remaining opponents for USC are currently ranked in the top 25.

It seems as if USC will have to win out in order to have a chance at the playoff or getting a spot in the Pac-12 championship.

Over the next five weeks, the Trojans take on Utah, Cal, Washington, Oregon, and UCLA.

While USC has a favorite matchup against Washington, UCLA, and Utah at home, all the teams have a real shot at getting a place in the Pac-12 championship game.

While the Trojans did lose their first game of the season, the schedule does get more challenging for USC despite having a relatively easy first five games of the season.
