USC Football: Trojans WR Takes To Twitter After Losing To Oregon

One word tells the whole story.

After a devastating 36-27 loss in Eugene on Saturday, your USC Trojans now sit at 7-4 with no Pac-12 or College Football Championship hopes.

This was such a seemingly improbable outcome just a few short weeks ago, when USC sat at 6-0 after a triple-overtime victory over Arizona.

Since, the team has dropped four of its last five contests, including three by multiple scores.

Wide receiver Brenden Rice (son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry) took to Twitter, and had this to say:

Rice's phrase puts it pretty perfectly, as there really isn't much more you can say. As with any disappointment, it takes time to process what happened, what went wrong, and where to go from here.

USC imploded down the stretch of the 2023 college football season, and dropping four of five games was something that just seemed nearly impossible for a team with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

A team that seemed to be the consensus top of the Pac-12 turned out to be a group that may not even finish inside the top quarter. There's a lot that caused this implosion, but very little to justify it.

There's a long ways to go from here for the cardinal and gold, but devoting all their attention to preparing for rivalry week should be the first order of business.
