USC Football: True Freshman Trojans Starter Transfers To Big Ten Rival
Your USC Trojans have lost another great piece to their defense, this time to the transfer portal.
Former four-star linebacker freshman Tackett Curtis announced he will transfer to USC's future Big Ten rival, Wisconsin.
247Sports Transfer Portal was among the first to report the news.
After his lone season as a Trojan, Curtis called it quits in the Cardinal Red and Gold. In his lone season at USC, the freshman linebacker recorded 40 total tackles, two sacks, four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one pass defended.
He was one of the few bright spots in the lonely 2023 USC defense. Now, the Trojans will prepare for him as they will make the move to the Big 10 later this year.
Curtis stands at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, and will have three years of eligibility remaining. This is a tough loss for the Trojans, but nonetheless, we wish Tackett the best in his next journey. It's unfortunate it didn't work out in Southern California.
