USC Football: Watch Lincoln Riley's Rallying Speech To Motivate Trojans For Holiday Bowl
Tonight at 5 p.m. in San Diego's Petco Park, your underwhelming USC Trojans football team will play an anticlimactic postseason game against the favored Louisville Cardinals, in the NCAA's Holiday Bowl.
Via its official X/Twitter account, USC posted footage of head coach Lincoln Riley delivering a rallying speech to his remaining gathered players (several have already departed for the offseason or other teams) ahead of the action. It appears that this footage is from yesterday's practice.
"Merry Christmas, nothing better than some ball with your boys here on Christmas," Riley said. "So make sure [you] physically, [you] emotionally] are ready to go do everything that we need to go do to win this game. And everybody here is counting on you to handle those two things about yourself. When you do that, the group comes together, then there's an energy that comes with that that nobody can duplicate, and that's doing something really special together, which we know we've got our chance [to do] coming up. We'll see you guys tomorrow."
First-year head coach Jeff Brohm's Cardinals are currently 10-3 on the year, and is currently projected to win by a hair under a touchdown (-6.5 is the latest line, per aggregating site The Action Network).
