USC head coach Lincoln Riley has returned to the Trojans practice field after a two-day absence. Riley was reportedly sick the last few days, but has finally returned to practice on Wednesday with three days to go until the Trojans' battle against the unranked California Bears.

Riley's absence led to much speculation, both regarding his job and the security of some of his assistants.

However, it seems that he was, in fact, just under the weather, and all is back to normal at USC practice.

A USC spokesperson revealed to the media that Riley is being treated for Pneumonia, which explains his multi-day absence. Riley isn't speaking to the media today, but will speak to them on his regularly-scheduled Zoom call on Thursday morning.

There's no word on what the rest of the week for Riley looks like, but for now, it seems he's healthy enough to be back with the team. That should mean he's ready to coach on Saturday, but we'll likely get a more thorough update from him on Thursday.

The most important thing for Riley is getting back to full health, so we wish him a speedy recovery. As for the Trojans, they need to be ready to go against Cal, no matter who their coach ends up being.
