The USC Trojans are predicted to land a top recruit in the class of 2026. Will four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux commit to USC over the UCLA Bruins, Texas Longhorns, Oregon Ducks? USC coach Lincoln Riley impressed a highly-coveted group of recruits with USC's win over the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Trojans are winning on and off the field. After USC defeated Wisconsin 38-21 on Saturday, Sept. 28, Steve Wiltfong of On3 logged in a prediction for a 2026 running back that favors USC.

Elite running back Deshonne Redeaux hails from Oaks Christian which is around 40 miles away from USC's campus. The Southern California native sits as a consensus four-star running back according to all major recruiting sites.

Redeaux was in attendance for the Trojans game against the Badgers along with bevy of recruits as it was a big weekend for USC recruiting.

Redeaux told Wiltfong after the game that he was impressed with what he saw from the Men of Troy.

“Just the way the Trojans are bringing the atmosphere and not letting the Big Ten affect them and bringing that heat every game,” Redeaux said. “USC is a really good team this year and Coach Riley is doing a good job.”

With 27 offers, Redeaux is one of the most coveted running backs in the class of 2026. He would be a huge addition to what is building up to be one of the best classes USC has had in the Lincoln Riley era.

Greg Biggins, a National Recruiting Analyst with 247Sports, says Redeaux is one of the best athletes in the class.

"One of the nation's top two-sport athletes. Not just a dominant running back but a top sprinter as well...speed jumps out on the football field as well," Biggins wrote. "A true home run threat from anywhere on the field. Has some wiggle to him, can make a defender miss in the open field and runs hard. Decisive runner, doesn't dance around or try to be too cute, hits the hole and isn't afraid to initiate contact. "

Although he has missed a three games this season due to injury, in the few games he has played in, Redeaux has made a difference. In only two games, Redeaux has rushed for 213 yards and two touchdowns. The Lions have won both games that Redeaux has played in and are 1-2 without him. It's safe to say, he's an integral part of their success.

In their 2025 recruiting class, the Trojans have secured the commitment from a couple of three-star running backs in Riley Wormley and Harry Dalton III.

The Trojans currently have the No. 4 class in the country for 2026s, and if they secure Redeaux's commitment, it would boost them to the No. 1 class in the country. Although it's early to think that it would stand that way until the conclusion of next season, it isn't too early to to get ahead in recruiting.
