With schedule tidbits dropping daily, the 2023 college football season is getting closer and closer. Last season, USC quarterback Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy and he's the current favorite to bring home the award again in 2023, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

We break down the other 11 players with the best odds below.

Caleb Williams is the current betting favorite at +500. All odds are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

JORDAN TRAVIS - FLORIDA STATE QB - +1200

2022 stats: Threw for 3,214 yards, 24 TD's and 5 INT's. Rushed for 417 yards and 7 touchdowns.

The skinny: Florida State went 10-3 last season with Travis as QB1. The Seminoles recruited the transfer portal very well in the offseason and look like national title contenders in 2023. If FSU meets expectations, there's a strong chance Travis will stay in the Heisman hunt as the year goes on.

MICHAEL PENIX JR. - WASHINGTON QB - +1200

2022 stats: Threw for 4,641 yards, 31 TD's and 8 INT's. Rushed for 92 yards and 4 TD's.

The skinny: Penix had a huge season for Washington last year and the Huskies bring back two of his favorite targets in Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan. The pieces are in place for Penix to have an even better season this fall.

BO NIX - OREGON QB - +1200

2022 stats: Threw for 3,593 yards, 29 TD's and 7 INT's. Rushed for 510 yards and 14 TD's.

The skinny: Nix is a true dual-threat quarterback. His running ability could separate him from some of the other Heisman hopefuls.

DRAKE MAYE - NORTH CAROLINA QB - +1500

2022 stats: Threw for 4,321 yards, 38 TD's and 7 INT's. Rushed for 698 yards and 7 TD's.

The skinny: Maye is expected to once again put up video game like numbers in the North Carolina offense. But for Maye to truly be considered a Heisman candidate, he'll need to lead the Tar Heels to a win over a ranked opponent, something he didn't do last season.

SAM HARTMAN - NOTRE DAME QB - +1500

2022 stats (at Wake Forest): Threw for 3,701 yards, 38 TD's and 12 INT's. Rushed for 129 yards and 1 TD.

The skinny: Hartman transferred to Notre Dame from Wake Forest in the offseason. He may not have some of the big name receiver targets at his disposal like other QB's on this list, but the Fighting Irish do have a roster that's capable of making the College Football Playoff. If Hartman leads Notre Dame to the CFB, he'll likely remain a Heisman candidate.,

JAYDEN DANIELS - LSU QB - +1500

2022 stats: Threw for 2,913 yards, 17 TD's and 3 INT's. Rushed for 885 yards and 11 TD's.

The skinny: Similarly to Nix, Daniels running ability is special and can separate him from other QB's. He has what it takes to put together a Heisman-caliber season.

QUINN EWERS - TEXAS QB - +2000

2022 stats: Threw for 2,177 yards, 15 TD's and 6 INT's. Rushed for 1 TD.

The skinny: Ewers has all of the potential in the world, much like the Texas roster. Is this the year Ewers puts it all together (and maybe even Texas too)?

CARSON BECK - GEORGIA QB - +2000

2022 stats: Threw for 310 yards and 4 TD's. Rushed for 43 yards.

The skinny: Beck will take over for Stetson Bennet as QB1 of the two time defending national champs. Georgia's loaded roster will of course put Beck in a position to succeed, but what will he look like as a first time starter?

JOE MILTON - TENNESSEE QB - +2500

2022 stats: Threw for 971 yards and 10 TD's. Rushed for 77 yards.

The skinny: Milton will be a first time starter at Tennessee this season. He threw for 1,077 yards at Michigan in 2020 and backed up Hendon Hooker at Tennessee the last two seasons. There's a lot of buzz around Milton heading into the fall partially because Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel is such a good offensive mind.

CADE KLUBNIK - CLEMSON QB - +2500

2022 stats: Threw for 697 yards, 2 TD's and 3 INT's. Rushed for 139 yards and 2 TD's.

The skinny: Klubnik will begin the season as Clemson's starter after taking over for DJ Uiagalelei late last season. He showed some flashes a year ago, but also struggled at times. New Clemson offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is one of the best in the business and will certainly help Klubnik in year two.

DREW ALLAR - PENN STATE QB - +2500

2022 stats: Threw for 344 yards and 4 TD's. Rushed for 52 yards and 1 TD.

The skinny: Allar will take over for Sean Clifford in 2023. As a five-star prospect in the class of 2022, Allar was the No. 1 rated QB in the country, per 247Sports.com.

The non-quarterback with the best odds to win the Heisman is Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr at +3000.
