The USC Trojans have seen themselves get off to a strong start this season on both sides of the ball. It has been great to see a team that had some questions entering the year about their defense. But the Trojans have shut doubters up, at least for now.

Everyone knew that the offense would be very strong once again, and USC looks like they haven’t missed a beat from last year. They were one of the more explosive units in college football last year, and they are on track to do the same.

One of the reasons for that this season has been the emergence of freshman wide receiver Zachariah Branch. Branch has lit up the college football world through three games with his electric skillset.

He is lightning quick, and it has shown in his ability to take punt returns back to the house. Branch has been one of the biggest talking points about the Trojans early on in the year.

Branch recently told USC wide receiver coach Dennis Simmons that he has a list of things that he wants to accomplish while with the Trojans. This includes being a true freshman starter, winning the Biletnikoff Award and winning Heisman Trophy winner.

He could easily win the Bilentnikoff Award if he keeps this up. It may not be this season, but at some point, it could very well happen for him.

Now, the Heisman Trophy is the tough one. The award normally goes to quarterbacks, but we did see it go to a wide receiver just a few years ago. Branch has the skill set to win the award if he can stay consistent throughout an entire year.

He has been a great piece to this Trojans team, and hopefully, Branch can add another accomplishment to the list. That would be winning the national championship with the Trojans, and that would be the ultimate accomplishment for him.
