USC Football: Elite Quarterback Recruit To Attend Trojans-Huskies Game
In the midst of what USC Trojan fans might call a recruiting crisis, the program is preparing to host one of the most highly recruited prospects in the country in Carrollton High School (Carrollton, GA) quarterback Julian Lewis. Lewis, recently dawning the cover of Sports Illustrated, is one of the best prospects in the class of 2026. His prowess as a passer cannot be understated; He's looked like the next big thing since he was in middle school. After considering Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, and Texas A&M, he selected USC as his future home. Lewis told On3 that "at the end of the day, it's what Lincoln Riley does with quarterbacks" as his reasoning for committing to the Trojans.
Lewis announced on Twitter this week that he will be in attendance for USC's home game versus #5 Washington. The game will feature the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in Caleb Williams, and what many view as the current front runner for this year's Heisman in Michael Penix Jr. As a high school sophomore, Lewis will have a lot to take in on this visit. USC should be rolling out the red carpet for the 6-1 gun slinger.
Lewis' visit comes days after USC received the commitment of 2026 cornerback Brandon Lockhart. So while many USC fans aren't satisfied with the current cycle's talent level and commitment number, USC's 2026 class is stacking up to be one for the ages.
This is a big chance for the Trojans to upset a very good Washington team, which would leave a lasting impression on Lewis and further solidify his commitment to USC. He still has another two full seasons in high school, during which he'll surely be the target of flip efforts from competing programs.
