USC football: Nation's No. 9 cornerback names Trojans a favorite after 'great' visit

Lincoln Riley and USC are desperate for defensive talent
In this story:

Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans football program hosted a loaded visitor weekend - and by all accounts, it went really well.

It's no secret that Riley and the Trojans need to add talent on the defensive side of the ball, and Serra Gardena (California) 4-star cornerback Dakoda Fields raved about his visit.

"They are definitely a favorite for me after my visit this weekend," Fields told SBLive Sports Director of Recruiting Andrew Nemec.

"It was a great trip," he said. "I spent a lot of time with the coaches and staff. Most of the trip was focused on what they can provide for me as a school outside of football and how I can benefit from going to USC years down the line. My family came and they enjoyed the visit as well. They loved meeting the staff and building a relationship with them."
