USC Football: Trojans Offer 2025 Offensive Lineman Malachi Goodman
Tuesday was busy for your USC Trojans' offensive line recruiting.
Paramus Catholic (Paramus, NJ) 2025 offensive tackle Malachi Goodman announced on X/Twitter that he has received an offer from USC, extended to him by offensive line coach Josh Henson. This comes hours after fellow 2025 offensive tackle John Mills, out of San Francisco, CA, received an offer from USC.
Goodman is considered a three-star prospect by On3 and Rivals, and measures up at a self reported 6-foot-5, 315-pounds. He's got offers from Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia to name a few. In an interview with Husker Online, Goodman spoke about what college coaches have told him during his recruiting process in regards to his overall game and why in the end they offered him a scholarship.
"Well, most of the coaches tell me about my improvement from my sophomore year to my junior year and now, like my bend," Goodman said. "How well that got, and just, the way I play, my play style."
Goodman credited his improvement to hard work and ladder drills.
In the same interview, Goodman cited "development" as a big thing he is looking for in his future home. "Both as a person and a player," Goodman added.
USC isn't exactly known as a offensive line factory, sadly enough. There hasn't been an offensive lineman drafted during Lincoln Riley's tenure thus far, and the Trojans have had just four offensive lineman drafted in the last 10 years, all four of whom were blue-chip prospects entering college.
Goodman's been on campus at Rutgers, Nebraska, Maryland, Boston College, but has yet to visit USC.
