College baseball rankings: USC moves up to No. 21 in latest Baseball America Top 25

The Trojans moved up four spots

In the latest edition of the Baseball America Top 25 college baseball rankings, USC jumped up four spots to No. 21. Stanford leads the Pac-12 with a No. 7 ranking. Arizona State is the other Pac-12 team ranked this week at No. 22.

HOT START FOR USC

The Trojans are 15-3 in their last 18 games after sweeping their three-game series against San Diego State last week. USC is 20-10-1 overall.

The Trojans have won five series in a row and the sweep of SDSU was the team's third of the year. In USC's last seven games, the Trojans have recorded three shutouts. 

Freshman center fielder Austin Overn leads USC with a .349 batting average. He has 10 triples, which is tied for the program record, and two home runs. Outfielder Cole Gabrielson leads USC with eight home runs. 

On the mound, ace Tyler Stromsborg is 4-1 on the season with a 4.11 ERA. He has a team-high 45 strikeouts. Of the USC pitchers who have thrown at least 20 innings, starter Caden Aoki leads the Trojans with an ERA of 1.33. Reliever Josh Blum has posted a 2.08 ERA in 21.2 innings.
