USC Women's Soccer: Trojans Facing Multiple Former Coaches in Sunday Match vs Georgia

A number of familiar faces!

With summer about to come to an end and the new school semester right around the corner, that always means a number of exciting sports seasons are gearing up to kick off as well. That includes none other than your USC women's soccer team and for the second straight season, they are viewed as a consensus top-25 team in the nation.

With a number of returners along with some new energy, the Trojans will look to build off of their momentum from last year. They will face off against some feisty opponents once again such as UCLA, North Carolina and this Sunday, Georgia will be the squad they'll be focused on taking down.

Beyond just keeping up with their midfielders up and down the field, USC will also have quite the battle when it comes to the coaching. According to a recent Trojans press release, a number of former members of their coaching staff will be on the sidelines for Georgia.

"USC will be facing off against a some familiar faces in the first week of the season. Michigan is coached by former USC assistant Jen Klein, who was with the Trojans from 2014-17. Georgia is led by former USC head coach Keidane McAlpine, and former USC assistants Jason Lockhart and Sammy Towne. McAlpine was with the USC program from 2014-21."
