USC Women's Volleyball: Trojans Will Face Off Against UMBC in 39th NCAA Tournament

They're back in the postseason!

Your 18-12 USC Trojans women's volleyball team is set to do battle against the 17-7 UMBC Retrievers this Friday, December 1st, at 1 p.m. PT, on the road, per USC Communications. The bout will be available for streaming on ESPN+. For hardcore devotees who want to head to Pittsburgh to check out the action in person at the Petersen Events Center, tickets are available for purchase right here.

The Women of Troy finished as the fifth seed in the Pac-12, and notched the eighth seed overall in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. It marks their second straight postseason run under fourth-year head coach Brad Keller. Last year, the club lost in the tournament's second round to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Cumulatively, across 39 total postseason berths, the Trojans have won three national NCAA titles, in 1981, 2002 and 2003.

Their hopes on winning another rest on the very capable shoulders of 6'2" senior offensive hitter Skylar Fields, the current Pac-12 leader in scoring and kills. USC's best current women's volleyball player is a two-time All-Pac-12 honoree.
