USC Basketball: How To Watch Drew Peterson's Summer League Heat Bout On Friday Night

Forward Drew Peterson, the only active ex-Trojan in NBA Summer League play, will take the floor once again tonight for the Miami Heat, with a potential 15-man standard roster spot still in the offing.
He'll be doing so in an NBA Finals rematch against the Denver Nuggets, albeit with only a handful of the players technically active for either franchise (Peyton Watson with Denver; Nikola Jovic and Orlando Robinson with Miami) suiting up.
The action tips off at 5:30 p.m. PT in Las Vegas' Cox Pavilion, and will be broadcast nationally on NBA TV.
Across 24.7 minutes a night, Peterson is averaging 12.0 points on an insane .542/.571/1.000 shooting splits (and he's taking 4.7 triple attempts a game!), 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists (against an unfortunate 1.7 turnovers), 1.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks a night. He's also logging 3.0 personal fouls a night, which could make him something of a liability defensively.
The 6'8" combo forward, a two-time All-Pac-12 First Teamer during his tenure with the Trojans from 2020-23 (he spent his first NCAA seasons at Rice University), went unselected in last month's draft. He inked an Exhibit 10 training camp contract with Miami, and depending on the team's available cheap role player depth heading into the fall, it seems conceivable he gets a two-way contract with the franchise. If not, he'll likely join as an affiliate player on Miami's NBAGL squad, the Sioux Valley Skyforce.
