USC Football: PFF Analyst Believes Caleb Williams Could Be Top-12 Fantasy QB in Year One
USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams is set to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. The Chicago Bears are expected to make him the top pick, and if all pans out, he could be their best quarterback in franchise history. While that statement may seem bold, that's the plan, and that is why he should be the first player off the board in the draft.
All eyes will be on Williams to perform up to par and then some. He will have the weight of the Bears organization and the city of Chicago on his shoulders. Bears fans and the NFL world will watch his every move, which may even trickle down to fantasy football managers. Fantasy football has taken the country by storm, and it's all anyone ever talks about during football season. The actual football and fantasy go hand in hand.
Williams may only be a rookie soon, but could he be a viable fantasy football option in his first season? PFF fantasy expert Kate Magdziuk certainly believes so.
Magdziuk said she sees Williams as a top-12 quarterback in fantasy football this upcoming season.
It's not out of the realm of possibility if all pans out. Last season, we saw Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud as a top-12 fantasy football quarterback, No. 11 to be exact, according to Fantasy Pros. He was ahead of quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Matthew Stafford. Injuries hindered many quarterbacks last season; however, it's still impressive nonetheless. Williams will not only be a great quarterback but will be a viable fantasy option.
He is a dual-threat quarterback who can use his legs and strong arm to rack up touchdowns. Not only that, but he will have an array of offensive weapons to help collect those yards and touchdowns. While Bears fans hope Williams can produce on the field, fantasy managers will hope he is a top fantasy quarterback in the league.
