The USC Trojans hosted a star-studded list of recruits at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday. Despite the loss to Penn State, many recruits left impressed, including 2025 four-star Florida State commit Kevin Wynn.

“I really liked the environment and people at USC,” Wynn said. “They made a good first impression and I will probably go back for an official visit.”

Wynn, a product of Greene County high school in Greensboro (GA) has been committed to the Seminoles since June, but after a strong recruiting trip and his teammate safety Stephen Miller flipping his commitment from Mississippi State to USC on Monday, his recruitment could start heating up.

“Talking with several sources that spent time with the blue chipper over the weekend, USC made a huge impression on him,” said Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports. “And again Eric Henderson, Shaun Nua and coach D’Anton Lynn, then obviously coach Lincoln Riley, this defensive staff is pouring a lot on the trail as they try to get this thing right. “

USC coach Lincoln Riley said in late September that they were focusing on the trenches to put the finishing touches on their recruiting class.

“We’re getting closer to the end of it,” Riley said. “We’re definitely still in the market on both of the fronts. I would say those are the big areas. Potentially one more secondary player but I’d say the focus here on this current class will be on the o-line and d-line really going forward given the commits we do have.”

With fifth-year seniors Nate Clifton and Gavin Meyer on their final year of eligibility and Bear Alexander making the decision to redshirt so he can transfer, the Trojans are in need of an interior defensive lineman that can make an immediate impact for them in 2025. USC is quickly learning how crucial it is to have a strong play in the trenches in the Big Ten conference.

The Trojans currently have players committed from the state of Georgia for their 2025 recruiting class, including quarterback Julian Lewis, safety Kendarius Reddick, linebacker Jadon Perlotte, cornerback Shamar Arnoux, receiver James Johnson.

The early signing period has been moved up this season from mid-December to Dec. 4, just before the conference championship games, followed by the traditional signing period of on Feb. 5, 2025.
