Craig Smith gave fans an update on the status of Utes starting guard Rollie Worster and it wasn't promising.

Worster, a senior hailing from Missoula, Montana started his collegiate career with Utah State in 2020 before transferring to the U the following season. His absence has been felt in some games more than others this season as his workhorse tendencies and change of pace play provide the team with a diversified play style that would've proved helpful when breakout guard Deivon Smith got tired.

In 16 games this year, Worster has averaged 9.9 points per game at a 40.9% clip from the field while also averaging 4.9 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game. Standing at 6'4" 204-pounds, the guard played his last game on January 11th, at home against UCLA indicating that his injury is more serious than initially anticipated, and while Coach Smith and the Runnin' Utes will continue to hold down the fort, they will be counting down the days till Worster graces the hardwood once more.
