Runnin' Utes Cruise to Victory Over UVU

The Utes grabbed their 8th win of the season against an in-state opponent in a convincing fashion.

The Runnin' Utes move to 8-2 on the campaign after a resounding performance against the Utah Valley Wolverines. 

Utah outscored UVU in both halves putting up a cool 38 points a piece to the Wolverines 32 points in the first and 30 in the second. 

Branden Carlson took charge once more as he went 10-16 from the field for 26 points accompanied by 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. However, the leading scorer had some help as Rollie Worster went 4-7 from the field for 13 points while also grabbing 5 rebounds, 9 assists, and a steal. Gabe Madsen also stepped up for the Utes going 4-8 from the field for 13 points and contributed in other facets of the game with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

For UVU, Caleb Stone-Carrawell was their leading scorer contributing 12 points on a 4-15 night from the field while also grabbing 3 rebounds. The Wolverine's other double-digit scorer was Tanner Toolson going 4-9 from the field for 11 points while also getting a block, a steal, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. 

The Utes kept their undefeated home record alive moving to 5-0 in the Huntsman Center and 8-2 on the season overall. Currently tied for 2nd in the Pac-12 with Colorado and Washington State being only one game behind Arizona, the Runnin' Utes have put themselves in prime position to contend and make a run to March Madness if they continue the consistency.
