Utah is looking to win their third straight Pac-12 title, and luckily for them they return a huge portion of their team headlined by quarterback Cam Rising.

In fact, the Utes ranks No. 16 in returning production in the country, which is tied with USC for the most among Pac-12 schools. However, despite the fact that they return Rising, the question around him is when they will return him. The senior quarterback tore his ACL in the Rose Bowl loss to Penn State, and Utah fans received what can only be considered a concerning update on his status ahead of the 2023 season.

When speaking at Pac-12 media day, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham addressed the status of his quarterback and it appears that whether or not he is ready for Week 1 against Florida is still a question mark.

While Rising's status is unclear for the game against the Gators which was one that the Utes dropped in 2022, they will have starting tight end Brant Kuithe. When speaking with most around the country, the only question about the Utes heading in 2023 is Rising's health and what they'll do without him.
