On Saturday at the 2024 All-American Bowl, the Utah Utes had a hat on the table for four-star safety Faletau Satuala, but ultimately it was BYU who the top-ranked uncommitted player in the state chose.

In an interview with 247Sports' Blair Angulo, Satuala revealed what set the Cougars above the Utes and UCLA in his recruitment, citing the relationships with the players and a path to the field right away.

“On my visit to campus and just hanging out with the players, I felt like I fit in best at BYU,” Satuala told Angulo. “I know I’ll be able to get along with all of them. Also, for me BYU is a great opportunity to play early.”

For BYU, he is their highest-ranked high school commit, and is a dynamic athlete who expressed interest in playing both sides of the football during his commitment announcement.
