Utah lands commitment from four-star OT Isaiah Garcia
After previously holding a crystal ball prediction in favor of Stanford, four-star offensive tackle Isaiah Garcia announced his commitment to Utah on Saturday.
The Corner Canyon (UT) product ended up being one of the bigger mysteries on the West coast, as following a visit to Stanford he was expected to be one of their 20+ commits in June. So much so that Steve Wiltfong actually placed a crystal ball prediction in Stanford's favor.
However, some time during this last week Wiltfong removed his prediction indicating that Stanford was no longer the favorite which turned out to be because the in-state Utes made a late push.

Garcia chose Utah over Oregon, Stanford and USC.

Garcia marks the ninth member of Utah's 2024 class, which ranks as the No. 60 class in the nation. He comes in as the highest ranked recruit at No. 225 in the country, and the No. 1 player in the state.
With his commitment, the Utes now have the top two players in the state as they also landed four-star quarterback Isaac Wilson, who is the younger brother of former BYU and current Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. They are also the favorite to land four-star safety Faletau Satuala who is the No. 3 player in the state.
The Utes are getting someone in Garcia who is viewed as a multi-year starter according to 247Sports.
Well-proportioned frame and narrow through the hips. High-upside body type with plus length. Athletic tackle who absorbs contact well. Displays a mean streak in pass protection. Moves his feet tremendously well to stay in front of pass rushers. Seamlessly shifts weight to stay balanced at the point of attack. Flashes great flexibility and bend. Shows good hand violence to neutralize defenders. Could continue to improve as a run blocker and maintaining pad leverage. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level.
