Utah QB Cam Rising Says He's "Pretty Darn Close" to 100% After First Spring Practice
Spring football is here, and with that comes a first glimpse of how the team and players are shaping up in the buildup to the new season.
Cam Rising has been at the forefront of questions and concerns from the media and fans regarding his health status and playing ability after missing an extended period of time due to knee injuries.
Rising said it was "pretty surreal" to be back with the team and back on the field at what he described as "pretty darn close" to 100% playing ability. In practice, he not only connected with Brant Kuithe but also scrambled for a touchdown, signaling that the Cam Rising we know and love has finally returned.
In his last healthy season, Rising threw for over 3,000 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions on a 64.7% completion rate while also rushing for 465 yards and 6 touchdowns on 77 carries.
If Rising is truly back to his peak form, there is no telling how far this team could go, and opposing teams should be fearful of a bad moon rising once again.
