The Utes are starting Bryson Barnes for what will be the final time, as he is set to transfer after the game. They are also without star wide receiver Devaughn Vele, and safeties Cole Bishop and Sione Vaki who all declared for the NFL Draft.

They'll be taking on Northwestern in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl in a meeting between two teams who had very different expectations coming into the year. Utah was expected to make a push for the College Football Playoff, but ended up missing their star quarterback for the entirety of the year and were plagued by injuries all season long, leading to them fizzling out down the stretch.

The Wildcats came into the season with a dark cloud hanging over them due to a hazing scandal that saw head coach Pat Fitzgerald fired. Even prior to the firing, the Wildcats were viewed as one of the worst teams in the country following last season, and they weren't expected to do much this year.

However, with interim head coach David Braun at the helm, the Wildcats shocked just about everyone around the country as they compiled a 7-5 record.

According to ESPN, Utah is favored by 6.5 points and has a 77.2% chance of winning.
