Utah suffers yet another loss due to a key player being injured

The story of Utah's football season through five weeks has been their injuries.

Names such as Cam Rising, Brant Kuithe, Ja'Quinden Jackson, and a slew of others have missed time, and the defense suffered a major blow in the loss to Oregon State. In the process of sacking Beavers quarterback Aidan Chiles, defensive end Logan Fano ended up tearing his ACL according to a post on his social media.

Fano was second on the team in sacks with 3.5, while also leading the team in forced fumbles. The defense will greatly miss his energy and impact, and will now need someone else to step up aside from Joha Elliss who leads the team and the nation in sacks with 8.5.

Fano transferred to Utah after previously enrolling at BYU. He was ranked as the No. 119 player in the country in the class of 2021.
