Utah Utes Add Washington WR Transfer Taeshaun Lyons

The Utah Utes are continuing to bolster their roster through the college football transfer portal
In this story:

The Utah Utes have been hitting their stride in the transfer portal as of late, as they got a major boost in the secondary in Stanford safety Alaka'i Gilman a couple of days ago, and on Thursday they landed a much-needed wide receiver.

Former Washington receiver and four-star recruit Taeshaun Lyons took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that he will be transferring to Utah. He marks transfer No. 8 for the Utes, and may be one of the most important ones yet. Utah lost both Devaughn Vele, who declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, and rising star Mikey Matthews to the transfer portal.

Lyons didn't see any action for the Huskies this past season as they had three NFL-bound pass-catchers atop the depth chart. He is a speedy pass-catcher that simply needs an opportunity to prove himself, which he should be able to carve out for himself in Salt Lake City.

Three Positions Utah Still Needs to Target in The Transfer Portal

As a recruit, Lyons was a highly sought after four-star with offers from programs like Oregon, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Notre Dame. With Brant Kuithe and Money Parks back, and Utah adding UCLA tight transfer Carsen Ryan, the weaponry surrounding Cam Rising is looking quite strong.
