Utah Utes LOOK: 4-Star Commit Isaac Wilson Sets Records, Makes Statement to Opposing Cheerleaders
“Let it happen, baby. Let it happen”
A simple phrase comes out of the mouth of Isaac Wilson — New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson's brother — during a high school football game. It's very emotionally charged, yet given by his actions that immediately follow, it's also very intentional.
Wilson had just led Corner Canyon High School to another victory — its 10th straight — and made sure everyone in attendance knew he was the catalyst.
But he did so in an unconventional way.
After securing the win, Wilson celebrated with his teammates at midfield, and in the process, revealed a rather head-turning shirt he was wearing underneath: "I love L.P. cheerleaders." Strange, right?
Apparently not for Wilson.
The quarterback — who committed to play for the Utah Utes as a four-star quarterback in May — has been making waves in high school, with that particular Friday night being no exception.
Wilson put up more than 400 total yards against Lone Peak High School, becoming the all-time passing leader at Corner Canyon. His on-field abilities were on full display, and are only set to continue to be as the Chargers continue their run in the postseason.
But aside from his on-field talent, Wilson's energy is also a big plus for the Utes. And after his display Friday night, he's certainly going to bring that to Salt Lake City.
Until then, the Utes will look to Bryson Barnes at quarterback, who's set to start once again Saturday against the No. 50-ranked Washington Huskies.
Kickoff from Husky Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m.
