Utah's 2024 Non-Conference Opponents Announced

The Utes now know who they will face in their non-conference games for the 2024 season.

On December 14th, the Utah Football X page officially revealed the three non-conference opponents the team will face for the 2024 season.

The team will face off against Southern Utah at home on August 29th, Baylor at home on September 7th, and Utah State on the road on September 14th. Despite being in the same conference as Baylor, it still counts as a non-conference game due to a contract between the programs prior to the conference shake-ups.

The Southern Utah Thunderbirds finished the season with a 6-5 overall record and a 4-2 conference record which netted them a 4th place finish in the UAC.

The Baylor Bears closed out the season with a measly 3-9 record overall record including a loss to the Utes, and a 2-7 conference record which saw them occupy the 11th spot in the Big 12.

The Utah State Aggies were excited about the return of the "Battle of the Brothers" game and showed it with a post on X.

Utah State ended the year sporting a 6-6 overall record and a 4-4 conference record occupying 6th place in the Mountain West.

With every non-conference game being played within the state of Utah, it is surely a welcome sight for the players and coaches as it relieves much of the travel fatigue, especially when it comes to traveling to new opponents in the Big 12.
