Utah safety/running back Sione Vaki can do it all on the football field and showcased his ability to play both ways recently at the Reese's Senior Bowl.

After starting his career in Salt Lake City as a safety, Vaki was asked to tote the rock this past season on offense due to injuries. In the midst of what was a disappointing season after Utah was originally viewed as a Pac-12 title contender and College Football Playoff contender, they simply needed to get through the year. One of the solutions that they came up with was to have Vaki, who excelled at running back in high school, play some offense.

Well, he quickly emerged as a dynamic threat and was breaking off big plays left and right. While Utah would have liked to have him back in 2024, he decided to ride his momentum into the NFL Draft.

With the draft just around the corner, Vaki got a chance to showcase his skills at the Reese's Senior Bowl this past week and left scouts in awe of his game. PFF's Trevor Sikkema even went as far as to call him the most interesting player in the class.

"Vaki might be the most interesting player in the 2024 NFL Draft Class. His versatility is quite alluring."

Defensively, he finished with a career-high 50 total tackles, a career-high two sacks, and also nabbed the first pick of his career. On offense, he totaled 317 yards and two touchdowns on 7.5 yards per carry, while also adding 11 catches for 203 yards and three receiving scores.

How he will be used in the NFL remains a question, as he was used both on offense and defense during Senior Bowl practice. However, what we do know is one team will have a freak athlete on their team and just need to unleash him and he'll do the rest.
