Utes Fans are Calling for Brandon Rose in the Las Vegas Bowl
Utah fans think it's time to see Brandon Rose step on the field for the Utes in the Las Vegas Bowl after an abysmal performance from Bryson Barnes so far.
Through a quarter and a half, Barnes has gone 1/4 for 5 yards and 2 interceptions. Despite having little to no help from the offensive line, when Barnes does have time to get set and run through his reads, it hasn't been good. The defense has saved the Utes from precarious situations so far, setting up the offense to have a solid chance to put up points yet Barnes and co haven't executed and fans are calling for a change.
Coach Whittingham hinted at a Brandon Rose appearance when he reinforced his confidence in the talented QB during the build-up to the bowl game and that confidence may need to show its face. With it being the final game of the year, Brandon Rose, who was slated to start the full season had he not suffered an injury, deserves a shot to get some quality game time heading into a heated QB battle for 2024.
