Four Players to Look Out for During the Utah 22 Forever Spring Game
The annual 22 Forever spring game is finally here, and fans are incredibly excited to see how the team preforms and how the players have meshed up to this point in the offseason. The offense is going to be the main focus for spectators after the abysmal output the offense produced throughout the 2023 season, and with new big name additions as well as some spring practice standouts, they are in for a treat. Here are four players the fans should keen in on during the event.
Cam Rising
Cam Rising is an obvious one and yet fans will still be buzzing to see the undisputed leader of the team take the field once again in a Utah uniform. After missing a big chunk of time due to injury, the fan favorite is feeling like his old self and will look to show that to the public for the first time. Rising was named the Team Red QB and will get to show off his rapport with new WR additions Dorian Singer and Taeshaun Lyons, as well as TE Brant Kuithe.
Dorian Singer
Dorian Singer has been lighting up spring camp, and the transfer wideout has already established a dynamic connection with Cam Rising. The former Arizona and USC WR transferred to Utah in January and could very well be the most electric target Rising has ever had, and fans should be excited to see the potential WR1 in action.
Isaac Wilson
While he isn't starting for the white team, top prospect Isaac Wilson will have a chance to show off his skills to the public during the spring game, and all eyes will be on him once he takes the field. Wilson is the future of the program and the highly touted Utah native will have something to prove as he is currently in a tight-knit battle against Brandon Rose for QB2, so fans should expect to see him give his all during his first spring game experience.
Tao Johnson
Ever since he made the switch to safety, Tao Johnson has been lighting up spring camp and looks primed to be the new face of the ferocious Utes defense. Touted by ESPN as Utah's breakout player in 2024, Johnson should thrive in the new takeaway focused Morgan Scalley defense as he looks to make a further impression at the spring game. Johnson is continuing the line of stellar Utes defensive backs, and fans will have the chance to see his ball hawking ability and knack for leadership on full display come April 13th.
