Utah commit Dijon Stanley demonstrates blazing speed in track event

Over the weekend, 2023 Utah commit Dijon Stanley participated in a track and field event where he dominated the competition and nearly set several new records.

Running in the 300M, Stanley recorded a time of 33.70 which was a whole two seconds faster than the rest of the field and just under a second behind the fastest time ever recorded at the CA Winter Championships (32.90).
Additionally, given his 300M time, Stanley could also join an elite 45 second 400M club if he can record a similar performance in the near future.
The @CIFLACS boys 400m record is 45.76 by eventual Olympian Danny Harris of Fairfax way back in 1985. Based on his 33.70 for 300m today, we think @dijon_stanley4 can become the 3rd LA City athlete in history (also David Gettis) to crash the 45-second club in 2023!📸: @jeffturner pic.twitter.com/p6DkbutB0H

As demonstrated by his impressive track and field times, speed is what makes Stanley so lethal on the football field as he utilizes quick feet and incredible bursts to explode through seams for sizable gains. Stanley also has phenomenal agility, allowing him to quickly change direction and make defenders miss, both in the trenches and in the open-field.
Once Stanley joins the program later this year, it will be interesting to see how the competition develops as the running back group is arguably the deepest it's ever been in the history of the program.
