On Thursday, Utah fans rejoiced as they were one of the four schools still in the mix for four-star Athlete Isaiah Rubin.

In a report by 247Sports, it was confirmed that Rubin will be announcing his commitment on October 20, which happens to be his birthday. Aside from the Utes, there are three other programs that Rubin will be choosing from in Oregon, UNLV, and USC.

He has yet to take a visit to Utah but told 247Sports that he does plan on taking a trip to Salt Lake City.

"The main schools I’m looking at are Oregon, USC, Utah, and UNLV. I’ve visited all of them except for Utah so far but I’m planning to get out there before I make my decision. I like Utah a lot and I like how they play defense so I'm looking forward to visiting and learning more about them.”

Rubin is a two-way athlete who could play multiple positions in college but is mostly being recruited primarily as a hybrid defensive back.

He ranks as the No. 25 defensive back and is ranked as the No. 26 player in the state of California.
