When the Kentucky Wildcats step off the bus later this afternoon at Vanderbilt Stadium to face the Commodores, it will be a matchup of two teams with very different outlooks on this game.

For Kentucky, the hope of a bowl game is still in front of them while these Commodores know that they have three games remaining regardless of what happens this afternoon.

Predicting what will happen, and even a score will be tough because it is anyone's guess as to how motivated the Commodores will be in this one. Playing for pride sometimes makes a team perform well. It also has the opposite affect at others.

Still we must take a shot at coming up with three predictions for this one.

THREE PREDICTIONS

1) Ke'Shawn Vaughn Shows Up: While the mental place of the Commodores as a whole is unknown, it's easy to say the Vaughn will show up and bring his all. It's the only way the senior running back knows how to play and hopefully his spark and energy will rub off on his teammates if they come out flat.

PREDICTION: Vaugh will break the century mark today and run the Commodores down the stretch for 150 yards or more in this one.

2) Kentucky On Average: The Cats rushing attack has averaged 201.4 yards per game rushing while their passing attack has managed just 154.0 yuards per game.

Bowden and company will look to ram the football straight at the Commodores defense and then make some hay through the air off play action and rollouts.

PREDICTION: The Cats will hit their season averages in both categories today, rushing for over 200 yards and throwing for over 150.

FINAL OUTCOME: The Cats with something to play for will have a little more life in them, though I honestly think the Commodores come to play, but in the end when things get tough, and close, the Cats have just enough.

PREDICTION: Kentucky 24 Vanderbilt 21
