Rutgers football has been in limbo ever since moving to the Big Ten in 2014. The school has been looking for a new coach since firing Chris Ash in September. According to NJ.com, university officials met with former head coach Greg Schiano to discuss the vacancy. He reportedly gave the school significant demands that would facilitate a possible return. Schiano had a successful 11-year stint coaching Rutgers from 2001-2011 compiling a 68-67 record, including a 5-1 mark in bowl games. Since then, Rutgers has a 36-50 record and hasn’t appeared in a bowl game since 2014.
