After winning the first five games of an eight-game homestand, Virginia stumbled this weekend and dropped the first two games against Pittsburgh before bouncing back with an 8-5 win over the Panthers to salvage the series finale on Sunday.
Following UVA's 3-2 showing over the last week, the Cavaliers dropped one or two spots in most of the major polls, but remain firmly in the top 10 across the board:
D1Baseball.com: Virginia drops one spot to No. 8
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper: Virginia drops two spots to No. 7
Perfect Game: Virginia drops one spot to No. 8
Baseball America: Virginia drops one spot to No. 9
USA TODAY Coaches Poll: Virginia remains at No. 7
Virginia (31-6, 12-6 ACC) plays at VCU on Tuesday at 7pm (on ESPN+) at The Diamond in Richmond before heading up to South Bend for a three-game series at Notre Dame next weekend.
