In this story:

Hundreds of college basketball players from around the country are currently sitting in the transfer portal looking to find a new home. The Virginia men's basketball coaching staff is keeping tabs on all of these players and have reached out to several potential targets as the Cavaliers look to address some significant holes on their roster.

With the graduations of Kihei Clark, Jayden Gardner, and Ben Vander Plas, the departures of Francisco Caffaro, Isaac Traudt, and Kadin Shedrick into the transfer portal, and Reece Beekman and Armaan Franklin declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft, Virginia is currently only set to fill seven of its 13 scholarship spots for the 2023-2024 season. With six open scholarships, UVA looks to the transfer portal to fill four of five of those spots.

See below for a running list of transfers who have been contacted by Virginia according to various sources. Note: this list does not include transfers who were contacted by Virginia, but who have since announced their commitments to other schools.
