Isaac McKneely is fouled and he makes both free throws to seal the win. Virginia defeats Clemson 64-57. 

Clemson 57, Virginia 64 | Final

Virginia runs the shot clock all the way down and Reece Beekman misses a runner. UVA plays decent defense but Chase Hunter hits an off-balance three-pointer from the corner to make it a four-point game. Clemson fouls Clark and he misses the first, but makes the second. Reece Beekman sticks to Galloway like glue on his drive to the basket and pokes the ball away for a turnover. Clemson fouls Clark again and this time, he makes both free throws to push the lead back to seven. Galloway misses a three and PJ Hall grabs the rebound before working inside for a hook shot over Gardner. Brad Brownell calls his final timeout with Virginia leading 62-57 with 5.1 seconds remaining.

After a missed three from Reece Beekman, Hunter Tyson gets a good look from three and the Cavaliers are fortunate that he missed it. Franklin's three-pointer is off the mark but Ryan Dunn fights hard on the box out and draws a foul. Dunn goes to the line and makes both free throws to push the lead back to nine points. Dunn fouls Tyson on the arm on a fadeaway jumper and Tyson makes both free throws. Clemson intentionally fouls Ryan Dunn away from the ball and Dunn misses the front end of the one-and-one. Dunn contests Tyson's deep three-pointer very well and Tyson air-balls the shot. Tyson nearly comes up with a steal but Clark is able to steal it right back at mid-court.

Reece Beekman comes free around a screen and pulls up for a long two-point jumper on the baseline and he swishes it. Josh Beadle responds on the other end, driving on Clark and finishing with a floater after discarding Clark with his off arm. Virginia continues to go stride for stride with Clemson offensively, as Jayden Gardner hits a long jumper from just inside the three-point line in the corner late in the shot clock. Gardner's jumper rims out and Vander Plas grabs the offensive rebound and gets fouled by Chase Hunter, his fourth personal. Vander Plas misses both free throws. Virginia gets another stop and then Vander Plas is fouled away from the ball, sending him to the line for a one-and-one. He misses the front end and the lead remains at 12 points. Schieffelin works the ball down to Hall, who hits a hook shot over Vander Plas. Gardner misses a jumper and then Hunter Tyson hits an open three-pointer to make it a seven-point game with 3:17 remaining.

Kihei Clark threads a pass to Isaac McKneely on a backdoor cut and in one motion, McKneely flips a layup high off the glass plus a foul on Beadle. McKneely hits the free throw and has the last eight points for Virginia. Hunter Tyson responds on the other end with a three-pointer from the left wing, his second triple of the game. McKneely has his jumper blocked and Chase Hunter pushes in transition and gets to the basket for a layup. Jayden Gardner skies for an offensive rebound and finishes the putback off the glass. PJ Hall gets a good look inside and hits a short hook shot as the Tigers are starting to heat up on the offensive end. Clark drives inside and passes to Gardner, who hits the open mid-range jumper from the baseline. Virginia is clinging to its 10-point lead but needs to start stringing some more stops together to close this game out.

PJ Hall posts up on Caffaro and gets a right hook shot to fall from the baseline, ending a Clemson scoring drought of nearly five minutes. Josh Beadle works the pick and roll and drives on Franklin before banking in a floater off the glass. Virginia responds to the back-to-back buckets by Clemson as Isaac McKneely pump fakes and steps back into a three-pointer from the top of the key and drills it. Hunter Tyson backs down Ryan Dunn and gets to the rim for a layup off the glass. McKneely comes off of a screen and hits a jumper from just inside the arc. Tyson drives and kicks to Alex Hemenway, who hits the catch-and-shoot three from the right wing to get the Tigers back to within 10 points. Caffaro is whistled for an offensive foul on a moving screen, his fourth personal.

Francisco Caffaro checks into the game and is immediately called for an offensive foul. Caffaro atones on UVA's next trip down, snagging an offensive rebound and drawing a foul on Middlebrooks before making both free throws. Clark gets inside and kicks out to Franklin, who splashes the catch-and-shoot triple for his second three-pointer of the game. That gives Virginia its largest lead of the game at 39-27. After a Clemson turnover, Franklin curls around a screen, realizes he's open just above the free throw line, and pulls up and splashes the jumper. That's five straight for Franklin and a 9-0 run for Virginia to take a 41-27 lead. Brad Brownell calls timeout.

PJ Hall backs down Ben Vander Plas and gets a short hook to fall after he double-clutched the ball on the way up. Vander Plas snags an offensive rebound and goes to work on Galloway, backing him down and hitting a hook shot in the paint. Kihei Clark passes up a wide open three-pointer, instead spinning the ball to Beekman, who drives inside and passes to Gardner for a short jumper from inside the free throw line. PJ Hall answers on the other end, muscling his way inside for a bucket. Beekman curls around a screen and sends a bounce pass to Gardner, who finishes with a reverse layup that just barely snuck over the rim and into the basket plus a foul on Hall, his third personal. Gardner misses the ensuing free throw. Beekman picks off a pass and tries to throw down a dunk in transition, but Chase Hunter meets Beekman at the rim and rejects the dunk with an impressive block.

Kihei Clark uses a sweet spin move to get into the paint and draw a foul on Chase Hunter. Clark makes both free throws and UVA leads by five. Virginia gets a mismatch as Ben Vander Plas is guarded by the smaller Brevin Galloway. Vander Plas backs him down and spins to the basket and finishes off the glass plus a foul on Galloway. Vander Plas misses the ensuing free throw. A hectic play scatters the Virginia defense and Galloway finds a wide open Tyson in the paint for a dunk. A nice hustle play by Dunn to throw the ball off of Tyson out of bounds gives Virginia a second chance. UVA gets a good look for Armaan Franklin out of the timeout but Franklin's three-pointer is just barely off the mark. Hunter Tyson attempts a pull-up jumper before time expires but he misses as well. Virginia takes a 28-23 lead into the halftime break.

Beekman perfectly contests Chase Hunter's jumper and blocks the shot as it leaves Hunter's hand. UVA capitalizes on the other end as Armaan Franklin drives to the basket and finishes with his left hand. Hunter returns the favor to Beekman, picking off Beekman's pass and taking it down the floor before finishing with a crafty scoop layup plus a foul on Franklin. Hunter misses the ensuing free throw. Clark nearly comes away with a steal but the ball rolls to Schieffelin under the basket and he finishes the layup just as the shot clock expired. Armaan Franklin pulls the trigger on a three-pointer late in the shot clock and splashes it from the corner, ending a near three-minute scoring drought for Virginia. Tyson gets behind Dunn on a backdoor cut and finishes off the glass.

Clemson ends the UVA run with a lucky shot as PJ Hall's three-pointer banks in off the glass from the top of the key. Vander Plas swipes the ball away and Beekman quickly sends the ball up the floor to McKneely, who finishes with a smooth Euro-step layup in transition. PJ Hall has an answer on the other end, getting inside for a layup. Hunter Tyson is left wide open from the left wing and he gets a friendly roll as his three-pointer hits the front of the rim and bounces in.

Taine Murray checks into the game, a surprising early sighting of the sophomore guard who is making just his fourth appearance in an ACC game this season. With the shot clock winding down, Ryan Dunn is forced to take a three-pointer and he drains it as the buzzer sounds. After another stop from Virginia, Ryan Dunn drives and kicks to Taine Murray, whose three-point attempt is too long and catches all air, but Dunn is there for the offensive rebound and putback. UVA is on a 17-2 run to take a 17-7 lead. Brad Brownell calls timeout. 

Clemson 7, Virginia 7 | 10:05 1H

Dunn swishes the ensuing free throw to complete the three-point play. Beekman curls around a screen and then finds Armaan Franklin on a backdoor cut and Franklin finishes off the glass to tie the game. Virginia gets another stop and then Beekman finds Gardner with a pocket pass to the baseline. Gardner takes the ball strong to the rim and draws a foul on PJ Hall, making both free throws. Reece Beekman picks off a Clemson pass and takes it the length of the court for a dunk, capping a 9-0 run for Virginia. PJ Hall wrestles an offensive rebound away and slams home a two-hand jam to end the UVA run. The Cavaliers answer right away as Kihei Clark kicks out to Beekman, who knocks down the three-pointer from the left wing, a great sign for Beekman, who hasn't been shooting the three very well recently. Jayden Gardner picks up a foul and is replaced by Francisco Caffaro. Virginia passes up a couple of good looks from three and Dunn is called for a three-second violation. 

Clemson 7, Virginia 12 | 11:54 1H

Virginia gets a couple of good lucks on its first two possessions but Armaan Franklin missed a point-blank layup and Jayden Gardner left an open baseline jumper well short. The Cavaliers and Tigers combine to miss the first ten shots of the game. Ben Vander Plas fouls Ian Schieffelin on a jumper and Schieffelin makes both free throws for the first points of the game, nearly three and a half minutes in. Ryan Dunn is first to check into the game off the bench for Virginia, replacing Vander Plas. Clemson gets away with a back-court violation and then Brevin Galloway knocks down a three from the left wing. Gardner misses an open jumper and Virginia has missed its first eight shots of the game. Ryan Dunn blocks Galloway's shot at the rim and then quickly runs up the floor and catches a long lob from Beekman, finishing at the rim plus a foul. UVA is finally on the board almost five minutes into the game thanks to Ryan Dunn.
