Virginia stayed put at No. 22 in the latest AP Top 25 Men's Basketball Poll released on Monday. The Cavaliers played only one game last week, barely escaping with a 56-54 victory over Northeastern on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the next opponent on UVA's schedule is now ranked for the first time this season. Memphis made its season debut in the AP Top 25 at No. 23 after improving to 8-2 on the season with pair of impressive ranked victories over Texas A&M and Clemson. That sets up a ranked matchup between No. 22 Virginia and No. 23 Memphis on Tuesday night at FedEx Forum in Memphis.

There are four ACC teams currently ranked in the AP Top 25: No. 11 North Carolina, No. 18 Clemson, No. 21 Duke, and No. 22 Virginia. Miami dropped out of the rankings following a blowout loss to Colorado the previous week and a subpar performance in an 84-77 win over La Salle on Saturday. The Hurricanes are the first team out of the rankings, receiving 97 votes.
