Former UVA Linebacker Nick Jackson Transfers to Iowa

The three-time All-ACC linebacker will play his final season of college football at Iowa

Nick Jackson has announced his transfer destination. 

The three-time All-ACC linebacker announced on Wednesday night that he is transferring to Iowa for his final season of college football. 

Jackson, who is currently still enrolled at the University of Virginia and is set to graduate in May, led the Cavaliers in tackles in each of the last three seasons. He earned Second-Team All-ACC honors for the second season in a row after averaging 10.4 tackles per game in 2022, the second-best mark in the ACC. Jackson led the ACC with 117 tackles in 2021 and was second in the ACC with 10.5 tackles per game in 2020, earning Third-Team All-ACC honors that season. 

Jackson concluded his UVA career with 354 total tackles, tied for 11th-most all-time in Virginia program history. In 46 total games, including 33 starts, Jackson had 20 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. 

Nick Jackson transfers to Iowa with one year of eligibility remaining.
