Virginia is in the mix for one of the top wide receivers in the football recruiting class of 2024. Four-star receiver Channing Goodwin cut his list down to a top seven on Wednesday and UVA made the cut along with Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech.

A 6'1", 180-pound wideout out of Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Goodwin had offers from nearly 20 programs, including West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Kentucky, Louisville, and Georgia Tech. Virginia extended an offer to Goodwin on February 15th and made the cut when he announced his top seven on Wednesday.

247Sports rates Goodwin as the No. 38 wide receiver in the class of 2024, the No. 241 overall prospect in the country, and the No. 7 recruit in the state of North Carolina. Michigan and UNC are considered the frontrunners to land Goodwin's commitment at this point.
