Takeaways

  • Virginia's depth chart at quarterback remains unchanged, with Tony Muskett listed as the starter with Anthony Colandrea behind him. It remains that way despite the fact that Colandrea has started each of the last three games. Muskett is still working back from a shoulder injury suffered in the season opener, but Tony Elliott says he anticipates Muskett will be ready to play at Boston College.
  • Kam Butler is out for the Boston College game with a pectoral injury he suffered against NC State. Bryce Carter replaces Butler as the starter at defensive end with Ben Smiley behind him. Mekhi Buchanan is now listed as the backup to Chico Bennett at Bandit.
  • There are some changes at linebacker, with Trey McDonald now backing up James Jackson at Mike. Kam Robinson has been moved over to Will, where UVA has an "or" listed between Robinson and Josh Ahern, meaning both players are currently contending for the starting spot.
  • At cornerback, Sam Westfall is now backing up Coen King at left corner, while Malcolm Greene and Dre Walker are battling for the starting right corner position.
  • Continuing with the secondary, Lex Long is not listed on the depth chart as he is currently dealing with a foot injury. Dave Herard is now the starter for Long at strong safety. Landon Danley replaces Herard on the chart as Jonas Sanker's backup at free safety.
  • On the offensive line, Jimmy Christ is making his first appearance on the depth chart this season, backing up Ugonna Nnanna at right tackle.
  • Kobe Pace is now listed as the lead running back, followed by Mike Hollins and Perris Jones.
  • There is now an "or" listed at punt returner between Ethan Davies and Suderian Harrison.
  • There is no change on the depth chart at wide receiver.

Virginia (0-4, 0-1 ACC) is set to play at Boston College (1-3, 0-2 ACC) on Saturday at 2pm in Chestnut Hill. The game will be televised on the CW Network.
