Virginia released its depth chart for the game at Maryland on Friday night in College Park. See UVA's complete week 3 depth chart in the image below:

Takeaways:

  • Virginia's quarterback depth chart remains unchanged with Tony Muskett as the starter and Anthony Colandrea as the backup. It should be noted that last week's depth chart also listed Muskett as the starter, but Colandrea started that game instead. Tony Elliott reported that Muskett has been practicing this week as he recovers from a left shoulder injury.
  • Chico Bennett is listed on Virginia's depth chart for the first time this season. Bennett missed the season-opener with a knee injury suffered in fall camp and then came back to play on Saturday against JMU, recording four tackles. He's now listed as the starter at Bandit.
  • With Bennett starting at Bandit, Kam Butler moved from Bandit to defensive end and Ben Smiley is now listed as the backup at that position. Paul Akere is still backing up the Bandit spot.
  • Josh Ahern is listed as the starter at Will linebacker. He missed the JMU game with an injury.
  • There are no changes to Virginia's depth chart at secondary. Antonio Clary is not listed on depth chart for the third-straight game and Tony Elliott says he's still "day-to-day" with a high ankle sprain. Lex Long is on the depth chart at strong safety after missing the JMU game with an injury.
  • There are no changes to Virginia's depth chart at offensive line, wide receiver, tight end, and special teams. Tight end Sackett Wood Jr. is expected to be available after missing the JMU game with an injury.

Virginia (0-2) will play at Maryland (2-0) on Friday at 7pm ET at SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland. The game will be broadcast on FS1.
