Virginia Officially Adds Safety Devin Clark to 2023 Signing Class
Three-star safety Devin Clark has officially been added to the 2023 Virginia football signing class, Tony Elliott announced on Wednesday.Β
A 6'2", 175-pound defensive back from Marietta, Georgia, Clark announced his commitment to Virginia on January 29th, just a few days before National Signing Day. Clark was a First-Team All-Region selection in his senior year at Marietta after recording 35 tackles, two interceptions, 15 pass breakups, and a forced fumble in the 2022 season. He also played as a receiver and a returner, logging 300 receiving yards and 200 return yards in 2022.Β
Clark is a three-star prospect on 247Sports and is also ranked the No. 63 safety in the country in the class of 2023 and the No. 71 overall recruit from the state of Georgia. A dynamic multi-sport athlete, Clark ran the fourth-fastest 400-meter time (47.31 seconds) in the state of Georgia in 2022 and helped Marietta win a state title in track.Β
Virginia adds Devin Clark to a talented group of defensive backs in the 2023 recruiting class who had already signed with the Cavaliers on Early Signing Day last month, including Trent Baker-Booker, Caleb Hardy, and Keandre Walker.Β
