Virginia (0-4, 0-1 ACC) suffered a 24-21 loss to NC State (3-1, 1-0 ACC) on Friday night at Scott Stadium. That outcome was the culmination of a frenzied finish that saw UVA score a touchdown and execute a wild two-point conversion from 17 yards out to tie the game, but then a combination of costly penalties and poor kickoff coverage gave NC State a chance the win the game and the Wolfpack capitalized, as Brayden Narveson kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired.
