The Virginia football team opened fall camp on Wednesday, holding the first of 25 practices that will lead up to the start of the 2023 season. UVA head coach Tony Elliott met with the media afterwards to recap the first practice and discussed his impressions on the energy and effort he saw from the Cavaliers, the status and health of the UVA defense, the performances of quarterbacks Tony Muskett and Anthony Colandrea, and the changes he is seeing in this year's fall camp as compared to his first fall camp as a head coach last August.
