Where Are Virginia's Departing Transfers Playing Next Season?
The dust has mostly settled in this year's edition of the turbulent mayhem known as the NCAA transfer portal. Thousands of college football players found new programs to call home through the portal. Virginia was no exception, adding nine transfers to its roster, while 17 Cavaliers entered the transfer portal.
See the list below to see where Virginia's outbound transfers are playing next season:
QB Brennan Armstrong - NC State
LB Nick Jackson - Iowa
CB Fentrell Cypress II - Florida State
WR Billy Kemp IV - Nebraska
OG John Paul Flores - Louisville
OT Logan Taylor - Boston College
K Brendan Farrell - South Florida
RB Ronnie Walker Jr. - Utah Tech
S Chayce Chalmers - Stony Brook
OG Zachary Teter - East Tennessee State

*Cam'Ron Kelly transferred to Virginia from North Carolina in early January, but re-entered the transfer portal in April and transferred to Louisville.
Three Cavaliers who entered the transfer portal have yet to transfer to a new school:
LB Hunter Stewart
WR Sean Moore
WR Nathaniel Beal
Seven of Virginia's departing transfers are headed to Power Five programs, including five who are going to ACC schools. In the 2023 season, UVA is scheduled to face three teams with former Cavaliers on the roster. On September 22nd, Virginia will host NC State in Charlottesville in a Friday night ACC game that will see the returns of former UVA quarterback Brennan Armstrong, former UVA offensive coordinator Robert Anae, and former UVA offensive line coach Garett Tujague, who are all now with the Wolfpack. The following week, Virginia will travel to Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College and former UVA offensive lineman Logan Taylor, who is now a member of the Eagles. Finally, Virginia will play at Louisville on November 9th, facing offensive lineman John Paul Flores and safety Cam'Ron Kelly.
