Inside Lacrosse released its 2023 Division I Men's Lacrosse All-Americans on Wednesday and Virginia led the entire country with nine players selected as Inside Lacrosse All-Americans.

Graduate midfielder Thomas McConvey was UVA's lone First-Team selection at the midfield position, as the Vermont transfer has tallied 27 goals and 21 assists for a total of 48 points this season.

Virginia placed two attackmen on the All-American Second Team as redshirt junior Connor Shellenberger and redshirt senior Xander Dickson were both barely edged out of the top three First-Team attackmen spots by Duke's Brennan O'Neill, Cornell's CJ Kirst, and Notre Dame's Pat Kavanagh.

UVA also had two Third-Team selections in graduate defensive midfielder Grayson Sallade and redshirt senior defenseman Cade Saustad.

Four more Cavaliers were named All-American honorable mentions: senior attackman Payton Cormier, graduate faceoff specialist Petey LaSalla, graduate defensive midfielder Evan Zinn, and junior defenseman Cole Kastner.

Inside Lacrosse's Media All-America Teams were determined by a vote of a dozen media members who vote in IL's weekly Media Poll. The vote was taken prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament.
