Former Virginia men's basketball star and 2019 National Champion Braxton Key made perhaps the most impactful play of the 2023 NBA 2K24 Summer League so far on Wednesday night as he threw down a game-winning putback dunk in overtime to give his Dallas Mavericks a thrilling victory over the Golden State Warriors.

When a game goes to overtime in the Summer League, rather than playing a specific extra period of time, a target score is set and the first team to reach that score wins the game. In Wednesday night's game between the Mavs and Warriors, the target score was set at 97 points and by the end, both teams were tied at 96, creating a pickup-game style "next basket wins" scenario.

Braxton Key, showing the two-way abilities UVA fans are very familiar with, came up with a huge block to prevent the Warriors from winning the game and then hustled down the floor and put himself in perfect position to slam home the putback dunk, winning the game in walk-off fashion.

Watch the entire play in the video below:

Key is averaging 8.0 points per game through three Summer League games so far and is having an even greater impact on the defensive end, doing his best to prove that he belongs in the NBA.
