LIVE Updates: Virginia Tech vs VCU Baseball Score

For Virginia Tech, a response is necessary. The Hokies 25-15 (10-11) are on the heels of a heart breaking series loss to the No.12 UNC Tar Heels. In that series the Hokies fell by a 20-22 margin to UNC, including two losses that were well within reach for the Hokies.
On the flip side, VCU 12-27 (5-13) are in a much more complicated place. The Rams are 3-7 over their last 10 games, including two games that were called in the seventh inning.

The Hokies go through the order, meanwhile, VCU off to a good start thanks to a solo home run. VCU leads 1-0.
Second Inning
Virginia Tech tallies three runs, however, VCU adds three more runs and regain the lead 4-3.
Third Inning
The Hokies add one more to tie the game 4-4.
Fourth Inning
Virginia Tech gets held at four, the Rams add another to make the score 5-4 in favor of VCU.
Fifth Inning
The score reads five all heading into the final stretch.
Sixth Inning
Score still reads 5-5 with two full innings to go.
Seventh Inning
Neither side gathers much momentum as the game begins to reach its apex. Score reads 5-5.
Eighth Inning
The Hokies regain the lead thanks to a Sam Tackett double. Hokies lead 6-5 heading into the ninth.
Ninth Inning
Tech holds on and scrapes by VCU with a 6-5 win for the Hokies.
